The Rural Business Program works with existing and startup rural businesses to help them expand and compete in today’s economy. We provide confidential business counseling services at no charge to our clients. Business services include: Planning & Development, expansion & retention, loan packaging, marketing, cashflow/financial analysis and much more.
Our business advisors help rural businesses develop plans and strategies, identify access to capital, expansion and marketing. The advisors offer free, confidential one-on-one counseling for existing and startup businesses. There are also opportunities to learn about government contracting and exporting.
The RBP provides the resources, training and tools to develop the capacity of small businesses to better understand their share of the market. Our advisors work with clients to find solutions to obstacles that may be preventing their growth and creation of jobs.
The Rural Business Program does not provide financing or loans, however, we do have a network of financing options available to our clients based on their specific needs. Seminars on Quickbooks and other financing opportunities are available throughout our SBDC network.
The RBP’s advisors assist rural business owners with business systems and manuals for Business Policies and Procedures, Employee Handbook, Security and Operations and other employee relevant information.
The RBP’s advisors assist rural businesses to develop a marketing plan, identify new domestic markets, develop an export strategy, identify business to business opportunities and provide government contracting opportunities. The advisors will also work with clients to maximize sales from existing and new customers.
